Dear Buddy,

 

We wish we could have told you,
in words you'd understand,

we wanted you to stay with us.

We wish we'd once more hear you,

in your softly, rumbling bark, telling

us what you want, to hold you on our

laps and stroke you till you sleep.

We wish we had you back again,

to fill this empty space and show you

more love.  But one day we'll be with

you in a far, far better place.
