Kiki was a very special rescue and a survivor until the end.

The day her foster mother picked her and her friend up at the shelter we knew Kiki was different.  She acted just like one of the pack the second she stepped into our home.

One look into those Lemur eyes and you couldn't help but fall in love with her.  Kiki's heart was as big as her personality.  She'd squeal when here mother left her alone in a room or if she got very far out of sight.  She was pure love.

When the Vet discovered the Lymphoma, we knew Kiki would be with us until the end.  We sat down and held her and told Kiki that we loved her and that she was with her forever family. Kiki seemed to somehow know that. She made sure that our tears were quick to dry because we had to fit all the fun of a lifetime into the very short time we had left together.

In all, we we're blessed to share our lives with Kiki for a little over 4 months.  She's always with us and we get to visit her every day as she rests under the apple tree.

In rescue, it's rare to find such a loving and trusting dog.  Kiki was truly one of a kind.
