Hello friends,
When you read this note you will know that I have left this earth and traveled to Rainbow Bridge. I have enjoyed meeting all of you and consider you great friends to all of the four foots. We are all creatures of our loving God and are here to serve and bring joy and laughter to our masters. I know that all of us pets hold very special places in the hearts of our friends and especially our families. It is very hard for us to leave them as we know that we bring our humans great comfort. We are the consummate counselor and never judge our human counterparts. We know how to love unconditionally, that's what we do. You'll have so much to learn from us, watch how we live our lives. Take time and enjoy the breeze in your hair, roll in the grass every now and then, let the wonderful sun shine on your face and warm your heart. Chase a pesky squirrel, bark at a cat, take a long walk with your people and just know that there is peace in spending time with those you love. Live each day to the fullest. You should know that I have had a great life; I've been loved and cared for beyond words. I was definitely in the right place for the right time. My body became ill with cancer very suddenly and it didn't leave time for good bye's. I was lovingly spared any suffering. Deb and Dan were wonderful; they brought me my favorite sweatshirt and carrot so that in my last hour I was with my favorite possessions, but most importantly, those that I loved. Humans are so special in that way, you allowed your own heart to break so that I wouldn't suffer. Know that my departure from you is equally sad. Know that my passage was easy. I am safe, feeling well, happy and look forward to seeing you at Rainbow Bridge. Deb, we knew the first day you brought me home that some day you would have to tell me good bye. Know that the greatest tribute to my memory is honoring me with a new puppy.
Much love, your loving faithful companion JB.
PS - tell Penny and Felix to enjoy the squirrel hunt.
